Introduction: Studies have showed that personality traits of mother have important role in emotional- behavior disorders of children. The purpose of this research is study relationship between dark personality of mothers and emotional- behavior disorders among elementary school students in Isfahan.

Method: The method used in this study is descriptive, type of Correlation. The samples used in this study were 150 people of elementary students that were selected form of multi-stage cluster randomly sampling from different areas of the Isfahan. Research tools include Behavior Problems Inventory Achenbach and Dark personality (Jonason & Webster, 2010). In order to analysis of data was used of multivariate regression (stepwise).

Result: The results showed that Dark personality of mothers (Machiavellianism- narcissism, psychopathy) can be predicted emotional- behavior disorders in significant level (p≤0.0001).

conclusion: Overall, the results of this research show that children who their mothers have increased level of dark personality are at risk for behavior disorders. Behavioral disorders of children are related to parent’s personality traits.
