Abstract

To examine reliability and validity of "Interpersonal Problems, Inventory", 271 students from Tehran University in three sample groups of 86 (52 females, 34 males), 125 (77 females, 48 males), and 60 (30 females, 30 males) were selected for this study. All participants were asked to complete this Inventory (IIP), the Mental Health Inventory (MHI), and the Self-Esteem Inventory (SEI). Test-retest reliability and internal consistency of the IIP were examined at satisfactory levels. In addition, the concurrent validity of the IIP was calculated using correlation coefficients between the scores on IIP and scores obtaind from MHI and SEI. All correlations were statistically significant.
