Effect of Sexual Healthy Behaviors Education on Reduction of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Symptoms

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Sexual Healthy Behaviors Education on reduction of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder symptoms. Statistical population includes all clients with O.C.D referred to Iranian Obsession Association. Using random simple sampling meth-od, a 20-person sample has been chosen and they were categorized in two experimental and control groups in the same way. We did Sexual Healthy Behaviors Education for experimental group and rate of O.C.D on each participant was measured in pre-test and post-test by means of Yale Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale. The result showed: 1. Sexual Healthy Behaviors Education have a positive effect on reduction of O.C.D symptoms. 2. Sexual Healthy Behaviors Education doesn't have remarkable different influence on reduction of O.C.D symptoms among males and females.
