Abstract

The present research was conducted to study the psychometric characteristics of:"Meeker's memory Subscales".
The sample consisted of 292 male and female students.
Memory category has six subscales based on widely recognized, multifactoral model of intelligence developed by Guilford (1959). The results indicated that for Meeker's memory subscales, internal consistency coefficients ranged from 0.67 to 0.77 and the total internal consistency coefficient of test was 0.77. The split half coefficient of test ranged from 0.65 to 0.75 and the total split-half coefficient was 0.68. Moreover, test- retest coefficients of the test ranged 0.80 to 0.99. To evaluate the test validity, concurrent and constructive validity were examined, there was a significant correlation between memory subscales and teacher ratings (P < 0/001). Furthermore, to increase memory abilities some strategies were presented based on the research findings.
