Abstract

The present study aims to more identification than role of internet addiction on mental health and body image students autumn 1400 were done. With a comparative causal scheme 323 students (79-man, 244 woman) with voluntary sampling method were selected students of Islamic Azad University Tehran South in the form of online and responded to the Internet Addiction Test (Yong, 1998), the Mental Health Questionnaire (Goldberg, 1972), and the Multidimensional Body-Self Relationship Questionnaire (Cash, 1990). To analyze the data first based on the average score of the internet addiction questionnaire They were divided into two classes, lower and higher than the middle and then multivariate factor analysis of variance was used. The results confirmed the correlation between the research variables that internet addiction reduces mental health and distorts the body image. In the end, abut internet addiction and how to reduce mental health and create body image dissatisfaction was discussed.
